Dad's Bass Catch
If you like to fish, then you are going to love Eels Lake. In the colder, deeper parts of the Lake you can find Lake Trout. The record catch on this lake is 24 pounds! Recently, we have seen 9 and 10 pound Pickerel (Walleye) being hooked in the summer months. In the many shallow bays and inlets, you will find Perch, Largemouth Bass, and Smallmouth Bass. Suring the month of August, the Bass are practically jumping into your boat. The biggest Largemouth Bass reeled in (in the last three years) was six and a half pounds, and was caught with a frog as bait! The largest Smallmouth Bass caught in the last three years was five pounds! It was caught with the cottager’s very last worm! The Convenience Store has a selection of fishing supplies available, as well as fishing licenses and bait.
